Job description

About Innercrowd

Innercrowd is building the system of record for the live events industry: one platform merging CRM, marketing automation, loyalty and analytics. We serve close to 90 clients across the Netherlands and Belgium, with active expansion into Germany, Spain, and the UK. We are past MVP, profitable, growing and funded, and now preparing to scale both the product and the team.

The Role

We are hiring a senior engineer who can operate as a hands-on architect. Someone who sets technical direction, writes production code, and leads our AI-assisted development efforts. You will work in a team of 4 developers, alongside our CTO as a technical peer, co-owning engineering direction. The CTO leads the team; you lead the architecture and AI engineering practice. This is a hands-on building role, not a people management role. Together with both founders, you will shape how the platform scales as the company grows internationally.

What You Will Do

  • Architect and build features across the full stack (Vue frontend, Laravel backend)

  • Lead our AI-assisted engineering practice, including adoption and workflow design around Claude Code and LLM-powered development tooling

  • Design and deploy AI-powered development agents for automated code review, architectural compliance, and codebase intelligence

  • Build CI/CD-integrated AI review pipelines that catch architectural drift, implicit contract violations, and security patterns beyond traditional static analysis

  • Own architectural decisions on scalability, data modelling, and system design as the platform grows internationally

  • Drive technical quality through code review, CI/CD improvements, and infrastructure best practices

  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies, from AI/LLM product features to internal developer productivity tools

  • Instrument and analyse product behaviour using Mixpanel to inform engineering and product priorities

  • Work directly with founders and customers to translate feedback into technical direction

What We Are Looking For

  • 6+ years of professional software engineering experience

  • Deep proficiency in frontend development with Vue, React, or similar modern frameworks

  • Deep proficiency in backend development with Laravel, Symfony, or similar PHP frameworks

  • Demonstrated experience making architectural decisions in a growing codebase: API design, service boundaries, data modelling, performance

  • Hands-on experience with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) and a strong point of view on how to integrate them into engineering workflows

  • Interest or experience in building custom AI agents that operate on codebases: automated review, architectural scanning, documentation generation, or similar

  • Comfortable owning technical direction as an individual contributor alongside a CTO, not as a people manager

  • Experience with product analytics tooling (Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar)

  • Proficient in English (spoken and written)

  • Based within commuting distance of The Hague

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Terraform, Google Cloud, Docker, or CI/CD pipeline design

  • Experience building LLM-powered product features or internal developer tooling

  • Familiarity with building agents using the Anthropic API, LangChain, or similar frameworks

Our Stack

Vue, Laravel, PHP, Google Cloud, Terraform, Docker, Claude, Mixpanel, Sentry, Storybook, Linear.

Tokens

We provide a serious budget for AI token usage and developer tools — enough to work the way AI-first development demands. We would rather you spend tokens finding the right solution than spend hours doing it manually. If you are used to holding back because of budget limits, you will not have that problem here.

Why Join Now

You will be the senior technical voice in a company that is profitable, funded, and at an inflection point. The product works, the customers are there, and the challenge is now about scaling it intelligently. You will have direct influence on architecture, tooling, and engineering culture from day one. We offer equity participation through our employee stock plan, so early hires share in the upside.

How We Work

AI-first, not AI-assisted

AI writes the code. Engineers research, architect, plan, and review. We invest in the agents, workflows, and context management that make autonomous development reliable, and we expect you to push this further.

State-of-the-art at the heart.

We use the latest technologies and practices, including AI-assisted development as a core part of how we ship. Great engineers want great tools. We make sure they have them.

Slow is smooth, smooth is fast.

We move quickly, but on a solid foundation. We have invested heavily in CI/CD and core infrastructure so speed never comes at the cost of quality.

Compensation

Base salary up to €90,000 depending on experience. Equity participation available through our employee stock plan for those who want to share in the upside, but strong base compensation comes first. We will move to a written offer within 48 hours of a final conversation.

Hiring Process

  • Intro call: Experience, motivation, and mutual fit (30 min)

  • Technical deep dive; Architecture discussion, system design thinking, and your experience with AI tooling, with our CTO (90 min)

  • Take-home assignment: A small, realistic problem using AI tooling (Claude Code or similar). We evaluate your architectural choices, judgment, and how you direct AI, not just the output (2-3 hours, time-boxed)

  • Culture and founder fit: Walk through your assignment together, then a broader conversation about working style (30-45 min)

  • Offer: Written offer within 48 hours, followed by a call to discuss terms
